At latitude 55°N (Moscow) to 60°N (St Petersburg), natural daylight duration drops to 6–7 hours in December. The published lighting program specifies:
- 16 hours light / 8 hours dark for laying hens
- Light intensity: 5–15 lux at feed trough level (layers) / 20–30 lux for broilers
- Dawn/dusk simulation: 15 minute ramp
- Light source: 3000K LED, flicker index ≤ 0.02 to avoid stress pecking
